When I discovered The Dark Horse last year I loved it so much I knew I wanted to be published in it. ‘Umbrella’ and ‘Morning’ have been published and precede Edna Longley’s article ‘Soul and Song: On Derek Mahon (1941-2020). I quote Edna Longley often in my thesis on Edward Thomas. I had dinner with her years ago at Essex University and fell in love with her warmth and intelligence. Wonderful to see my name next to Edna Longley’s on the contents page: //www.thedarkhorsemagazine.com/

I know a decent magazine when I can’t read it without a pen in my hand to annotate the insights I’ll want to return to later. Thanks to editor Gerry Cambridge at The Dark Horse.
Delighted to see my essay Tantalising Vagueness: Edward Thomas’s ‘The Liberty’ and ‘The Glory’ published in such fine company. Thanks to editor John Monks.

So pleased to have my ‘Blind Criticism’ article published in The North 66 and to see my name on the cover. Thanks to editors Ann and Peter Sansom:

Acumen’s editor, Patricia Oxley, selected ‘Gift’ as one of her favourite poems from Acumen 100 and uploaded the poem alongside my photo and biography to Acumen’s website:
